Australia's Very best Theme Parks

Visit the Gold Coast for Australia's Very best Theme Parks

by Rich Herman

Theme Parks naturally pop into your head when thinking of family trip ideas, and they can be great fun for the whole family. If you are living in Australia or that is your planned vacation getaway, then make sure that you check out the Gold Coast of Queensland, for it is most certainly the theme park capital of Australia. Gold Coast is a town on the southeast coast of Queensland, Australia, just south of Brisbane. The area has lovely white sandy beaches, leading resort hotels, lots of fine restaurants and many of the most popular family theme parks in Australia.

The Gold Coast is a wonderful place to get away from the office or your normal work routine and enjoy a family vacation or much-needed holiday. Theme parks can be found in various shapes and sizes, but something every one has in common is they will definitely provide hours and hours of family fun. Both young and old will laugh and grin and remember their unique time here for years to come. While not everyone might agree on which theme parks are Australia's best, the Gold Coast offers many popular ones, and these are sure to be on most people's list.

Dreamworld - Possibly the largest theme park in Australia, Dreamworld has been offering family entertainment for over 30 years. The park delivers something for everyone and includes the Big 6 Thrill Rides, Family Rides, and Kids Rides. The park is comprised of a number of themed areas: World of Wiggles, World of Wildlife, World of Nickelodeon and World of family Fun. Each one of these areas has excellent rides, attractions, food and shopping.

Whitewater World - In 2006 Dreamworld expanded their offerings by launching this amazing water park adjacent to their existing theme park. The park includes both family friendly attractions and intense water slides. Rides include The Wedgie, The Bro, The Green Room, the Super Tubes Hyrdocoaster, The Rip, The Little Rippers, and the Temple of Huey. Some other attractions include the Nickelodeon Pipeline Plunge, Wiggle Bay, the Cave of Waves and Surf School.

Sea World - Experience the wide range of underwater attractions, pleasurable rides, interesting and exciting shows, plus some of the Wild Sea World Animal Adventures. Get up close and personal with many of the sea animals at Sea World. Additional adventures include helicopter tours, whale watching, and cruise tours

Warner Brothers Movie World - Movie wonder comes to life at Warner Brothers Movie World park.
Take pleasure in Scooby Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang together with the lovable Looney Tunes characters. The park includes numerous movie-themed rides and thrilling roller coasters, together with unique shows and other fun attractions.

Wet 'n' Wild Water World - Located right next to Movie World, this park is just about the biggest water park around Australia. It offers about ten different thrill rides, and many amazing water slides, pools and more. Small children will delight in splashing around in Buccaneer Bay. You may want to relax on a tube and follow the slow-flowing river to Calypso Beach, have fun in an enormous wave pool, or load up a six-person giant tube and take a ride at Mammoth Falls. Whatever you decide, it should be great fun for both young and old.

Hopefully, this gives you some ideas for your next family trip. As you can tell, the Gold Coast has a lot to offer and it is a favorite for many. There are other theme parks here and in other parts of Australia, but if going to a theme park is in your vacation plans, then one of these could be just what you are looking for. Create memories that last. Have a great family trip!
